Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026-07-21

FUNDOMNIA is a free, donation-supported platform that helps people discover and assess legitimate funding. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices. We do not sell your data — ever.

Who we are

FUNDOMNIA ("we", "us") operates fundomnia.org. For any privacy question, contact fundomniaglobal@gmail.com.

What we collect

Account data: your email, and — if you sign in with Google or Facebook — your name and profile basics from that provider. Funding Passport: the details you choose to enter (project purpose, applicant type, country, amount needed, urgency, project stage, documents you hold). Minimal technical data needed to run and secure the service.

How we use it

To create your account, to compute your personalized eligibility and matches with our transparent rule-based engine, to keep the service secure, and to answer your support questions. That's it. No profiling for advertising.

The AI assistant (FUNDO)

When you chat with FUNDO, your message and the relevant grounding (verified platform facts and your own Passport summary) are sent to our AI processor (Anthropic) solely to generate a reply. It is not used to train models on your data, and no other user's data is shared.

Who processes your data

We rely on a small set of processors under contract: Supabase (hosting, database, authentication), Stripe (donation payments — we never see your card details), and Anthropic (the AI assistant). We do not sell or rent personal data to anyone.

Cookies

We use only essential cookies required to keep you signed in. No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Legal bases (GDPR)

Where the EU/UK GDPR applies, we process your data on these bases: performance of our service to you (creating your account, computing matches); your consent (optional inputs you choose to provide, and the AI assistant); and our legitimate interest in keeping the service secure and improving it. You can withdraw consent at any time without affecting prior processing.

Your rights

Wherever you live, you can access, correct, export (portability), restrict, object to, or delete your data, and delete your account, at any time — email us and we will act promptly and free of charge. Under Canada's PIPEDA and the EU/UK GDPR these rights are guaranteed; we honor the same rights for everyone. Cancel a monthly donation anytime from your Stripe receipt.

Right to complain

If you believe we've mishandled your data, you can lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority — for example your national data protection authority in the EU/EEA, the ICO in the UK, or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada. We'd appreciate the chance to resolve it first: fundomniaglobal@gmail.com.

Security & retention

Data is protected by row-level security so each person only reaches their own data, and is encrypted in transit. We keep your data while your account is active and delete it on request; minimal records may be retained only where law requires.

International transfers

Our infrastructure may process data in the United States and other countries. Where we transfer personal data out of the EEA/UK/Canada, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses with our processors.

Children

FUNDOMNIA is not directed to children under 16 (or the minimum age in your country) and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes

We'll update this page if our practices change and revise the date above. Material changes will be surfaced in the product.
